![]() The free year would be available to anyone upgrading from v4 or v5 (this is also available for ‘Infuse Pro 6’ users who would like to upgrade to v7 and beyond). I need the V6 that I already paid and I paid for V7 again Now I’m out of my iPhone Infuse because I don’t have version 6 anymore! V7 is going to be a bad day on the 5th expiry and today I paid to see the improvements and it’s horrible how bad they work. So, was just on Apple App Store and there is NOT Infuse 7 Pro download option. I have a stand alone app and I prefer a stand alone app, I’m so tired of every developer and software company jumping on the reoccurring revenue stream subscription BS. ![]() So, after enduring 6 months of audio sync issues with Infuse 6 Pro which are finally resolved Infuse 7 is released and I can’t even figure out what my upgrade path is. Every time there is an update it’s a mess and I become an unwilling “beta” tester while revisions are made and never versions bugs are worked out and pushed via App Store. It’s efficient too, unlike in other players we’ve tested. The pricing and upgrade models for FireCore are a mess! I have had FireCore Pro on my iPhone, iPad and ATV since v5.0. You swipe up and down for volume and left and right for progress through the movie. The touch controls are also something worth mentioning. Creating favorites for quick access to streamed folders is also an option, along with downloading or streaming synced files via HTTP.Infuse allows you to browse and play content stored on Wi-Fi hard drives, such as the Sandisk Connect, or the Seagate Wireless Plus, to name just a few. You can integrate the app with your Trakt account, and you get to choose your own subtitles.Streaming is available to free users, too, which is obviously quite important, while it’s also possible to share synced files via AirDrop. It plays a decent amount of formats in free mode, and even more with a paid subscription. In addition to all of the supported formats and whatnot (which you can read about in the app’s official description), one key advantage this app has over other players is the massive array of options for getting content onto your iDevice: via browser, via FTP, via iTunes Sync, via File Sharing, via Other Apps (such as Dropbox with “open-in”), via Network Share, and others. Heck, it even uses a similar color theme. Infuse admittedly is a lot like VLC Player. Watch out for some high scores down below. The controls are simple and efficient, the layout clean and spaced out, and the consistency (with iOS) among graphics and iconography is striking. Heavily inspired from iOS 7 (something Apple actually encourages), Infuse 2 is what should be the standard in media player designs. ![]() Infuse not only works great but looks good too. That’s something Android users don’t have to worry about, but iOS customers have always had to struggle with iTunes and other cumbersome methods. People have mixed views about what a player should do, but most users agree that some features are vital to make such an app work well.įor example, getting content onto your device and into the player automatically without too much hassle. ![]() Few media players have just the right amount of features to please everyone. ![]()
